In a vibrant celebration of linguistic diversity and cultural heritage, the Rotaract Club of Amar Shaheed Baba Ajit Singh Jujhar Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy Bela marked Mother Tongue Punjabi Day with enthusiasm. The highlight of the event was a spirited poetry competition that showcased the rich literary tradition of the Punjabi language. Director of the college Dr. Shailesh Sharma emphasized the pivotal role of preserving one's mother tongue in safeguarding cultural identity and diversity. He advocated for the use of the Punjabi language in both official and personal conversations to foster a deeper connection with heritage. Ms. Navjit Kaur, the President of Rotract Club Bela, extended a warm welcome to all participants and teachers, setting the stage for a day of linguistic celebration. The event's seamless coordination was credited to Ms. Noel, who not only ensured a smooth program but also delivered a vote of thanks to express gratitude to all participants.
